Food Nanny

The other day I was flipping through the channels on tv and stopped on the BYU channel (oh the joys of living in Utah:)  I saw this show called the food nanny. It's all about making meals and getting everyone to the table and eating the dinner. You can watch her on BYU tv online or here is her website. Her basic idea for planning is that everynight has a theme like Mondays are Mexican, Tuesday Italian, Wednesday are Comfort foods. She has an online meal planner that you can print along with recipes and a grocery list. I liked some of her ideas so I thought I would pass it along for those of us who struggle with what to have at 4:00!

Console Table

So here is the finished product on my console table from www.knockoofwood.blogspot.com! I love it! Now what to put on it?

Sunday Lesson

So on Sunday I was preparing my lesson. It was about wise King Solomon. Well I got to the point of reading some of the scriptures he wrote in Proverbs and it told me to have the kids read them and discuss what each one means. As I read them the thought came to me that these sayings sound like something you would find in a fortune cookie! I remembered seeing a recipe for them on the www.ourbestbites.com website so I gave it a try! They were pretty simple (even though I did get burned a little) and they were a hit with my class! They were all asking me how I got the papers inside the cookie! I was pretty proud of myself, I have to admit! They actually tasted pretty good too!

Missy

You totally need to go to the prepared not scared blog and do the project on there for Megan! It is a solution for all the school papers!
